Out Of A Forest // Tobias Gundorff Boesen

This award winning stop motion by Tobias Gundorff Boesen is breath taking to say the least, beautiful in fact... It depicts the story of a rabbit who attentions a 'meeting' deep in an atmospheric forest with fellow rabbits, who each show off their photos and drink wine. However, the party takes a sudden turn for the worst. A stalking wolf, sudden turns out the lights and attacks. Killing the other rabbits and splattering blood across the table cloth. What was once a cute beautiful animation is now a horror story. Horrified, the last rabbit flees. Chased by the wolf and screaming in terror, the rabbit is then suddenly saved. The moon, the light source now, reaches down as a human hand and plucks the rabbit from the horror story....

Suddenly, the animation is transformed into a live action scene. The rabbit slowly is pulled from a magicians hat, terrified non the less of the sudden appearance of fleshy humans. I love this film, the twists and turns as far as storytelling and themes go are incredible and work so well together.
